KARACHI: Imran Khan on Tuesday threatened to mount a protest march on Raiwind on September 24.
Addressing a rally in Karachi’s Nishtar Park, the PTI chairman also came down heavily on Altaf Hussain for his August 22 remarks against Pakistan, accusing the MQM supremo of orchestrating the murder of Azeem Tariq, a former chairman of MQM.
“A mafia has taken control of Karachi. MQM founder is responsible for introducing terrorism in Pakistan,” he said.
The PTI chief also said that in order to establish peace as well as law and order in Karachi, there was an urgent need to reform the police of the metropolis.
“Muhajirs are not alone, I stand by them,” he said and recalled his days of past spent with legendary cricketer Javed Miandad, who he said was a Muhajir and an epitome of patriotism.
Imran Khan said that he was extending the invite to people from all over Pakistan, to take part in his protest march on Raiwind. The PTI chief said that he was left with no option but to protest when justice was not delivered to his party.
