ABU DHABI: Pakistan T20 cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed said on Tuesday that West Indies proved to be easy opponents.
Conducting a press conference after the last and final match of the T20 series between Pakistan and West Indies had been played, Sarfraz said that the credit for the victory should be given to the whole team since it was a combined effort.
“The entire management of the team as well as the coach deserve credit for our victory,” he said. “The players worked hard for the series against West Indies,” he said.
Sarfraz also spoke highly of Pakistan’s ODI captain Azhar Ali and said that a great combination had been formed with him as ODI captain and Sarfraz himself as the T20 captain. He also thanked senior team players such as Wahab Riaz and Shoaib Malik for their cooperation and help.
Earlier, Man of the Match Imad Wasim said at the post-match presentation that he had worked hard for which God had given him the result.
“I bowl keeping in mind the batsman who is facing me,” he said. “I worked very hard and God gave me the results,” he said.
Imad proved to be a key factor in Pakistan’s series win over West Indies. He took five wickets in the first T20 and scooped up three wickets in the last match.
